Course – Building Technology
In this course, I was supposed to take an existing summerhouse and make minor changes to it. Then we were introduced to the design progress from the first sketches to the final hand-in.
I experimented with Revit and developed my skills in Revit, which will come in handy for future projects.
Exam grade: 9,0 (Icelandic grading system)
Course – Final project
In the final project, we had to design a two-story residential house, and the ground floor had to be around 150 m2.
We had to apply all the skills we had learned in previous courses to be able to finish this project. All necessary documents and calculations had to be included.
When the project was finished, it was supposed to be ready to go for tender.
Exam grade: 8,5 (Icelandic grading system)
Graduation
In the spring semester of 2021, I received an award for outstanding academic achievement at the Department of Applied Engineering.
I graduated with a diploma in Construction Technology (Byggingariðnfræði). On the 18th of June 2022, with an average grade of 9.10 (Icelandic grading system)
